Case ConstructionOur iPhone cases are designed to offer the best possible combination of style, elegance, exclusivity and functionality. The case we dress in Italian leather is made of polycarbonate which is an extremely elastic and durable material that is used globally in a very large number of products. Polycarbonate can also be recycled and 50% of the content derivers from recycled polycarbonate.
After the leather has been cut off along the edges of the iPhone case a matching edge paint is applied in several layers, which seals the edges, including those of the camera hole. The construction is made so that the case can be easily removed while protecting the screen. This is achieved by the case being 0.5mm higher than the thickness of an iPhone, which means that the screen avoids contact with any hard surfaces when it is placed with the screen down. The contact with hard surfaces is made with the edges of the case. The inside of the case is covered with microfiber which gives an extra cushioning effect and protects against scratches. The case has an opening at the bottom to facilitate access to the charging port and provide maximum reproduction of the sound from the two speakers. Even if you drop your iPhone on the ground, the corners and edges of the case will protect the iPhone.
DesignOur design philosophy is to combine the minimalistic and stylish Scandinavian heritage with Italy's creativity and craftsmanship. We only offer products that we are proud to use, show to friends and give away as gifts. Our autumn and spring collections of iPhone cases reflect fashion trends in both colors and patterns that you can often find the same leather on both bags and shoes made by the global fashion houses.
The leather on our iPhone casesTo guarantee the highest possible quality of our products, the iPhone cases from The Case Factory are made of genuine leather from the best tanneries in Italy, which also supplies leather to companies such as Prada, Hermes, Bottega Veneta, Tod’s and Chanel. All our cases are made by hand and carefully checked individually before being offered for sale. Apart from the fact that the covers offer protection against your iPhone from breaking when dropping it on the ground, they have increasingly become a way of expressing personal style and preference, just like all other fashion accessories. Our ambition is to be the best at what we do. Our covers and cases transform an industrial mass product such as the mobile phone into a personal fashion accessory that we are proud to bring with us. Our iPhone cases are bought by customers who value quality, craftsmanship, fashion and style as well as environmentally friendly raw materials that can be recycled. In this context, it is important to point out that "PU leather" and so-called "Vegan leather" have nothing to do with genuine leather. Vegan leather is only a new term coined by the chemical industry for "PU leather" which is an abbreviation of Polyurethane which is a synthetic polymeric material that is commonly called plastic.
The Case Factory uses hides which tanneries recycle from the slaughterhouses' operations for meat production and therefore a 100% ecological raw material. The hides are subject to a refining and production process that meets the requirements of the REACH regulation.
